Program Title:                         ISKF International Instructor Trainee Programme (Kenshusei)

 

Duration:                               Three Years

 

Date and Time:                      Once per month on Saturday beginning January 31, 2009 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Program description:             

    The ISKF Kenshusei Programme traces its roots back to 1956 Japan, where it was instituted and established by Master Masatoshi Nakayama, who is credited with the internationalization of karate. Master Teruyuki Okazaki was coach of the program. Master Yutaka Yaguchi is a graduate of the second class of instructors in 1958.

 

Program Objectives:               

    Kenshusei shall receive training to become instructors with excellent technical form, and to achieve the ISKF third degree black belt or higher.

They shall receive training and instruction in the principles and methods of training beginning students to the level of second degree black belt or higher.

They shall receive instruction in the principles and methods of grading and evaluating students.

They shall receive instruction in the principles and methods of carrying out the functions of a judge and referee in karate-do contests.

 

Prerequisite:                           22 years or older.

                                            ISKF second degree black belt.

                                            Pass a practical entrance examination.

                                            Instructor character reference.

 

Program Requirement:            Attend two Master Camps.

                                           Complete 30 technical credits listed in kenshusei book.

                                           Write and submit 43 research essays listed in the kenshusei book -14 essays per year.

                                           Achieve ISKF third degree black belt.

                                           Submit 3 organizational management projects listed in kenshusei book.

                                           Pass the ISKF class C judge’s examination.

                                           Hold a valid CPR certificate.

                                               

Certification:                          ISKF International Instructor, Examiner, Judge. Classes D, C, B, A
